Your words. Your keys. Nobody else’s business.

Private by design, not by promise. QVU never holds your keys or sees your messages, today or when quantum computers arrive.

We built the lock. We never kept a key.

PRIVATE NOTE · TO AOIFE

Hi Aoife,

I’ve attached the signed agreement. Please keep the terms between us until Friday.

Talk soon,
Mary

Showing what QuantumViva sees: sealed data only.

A design illustration of the privacy boundary, not a live product screen.

Not because we’d refuse. Because we can’t.

Your keys are made and kept on your device. They never reach QuantumViva. Our servers register accounts, show who is available and pass on sealed data they cannot open.

What we can accessAccount basics.

The information needed to run your account and connect you with the people you choose.

What stays yoursYour private life.

Your keys, messages, attachments, files, vault and recovery phrase.

A private place for everyday sensitive work.

Messages, attachments and the files you keep can remain private for years. Your email address stays the same; QVU works on top of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or any email provider.

Private email and files

Write and attach as you do now. Only connected QVU users can open what you send.

An encrypted vault

Keep files on your computer, each with its own lock.

Talk

Short, verified conversations with the people you have connected with.

Signed evidence

A record of who received what and when, which can't be quietly changed.

Some things need to stay private for a long time.

Encrypted messages can be copied today and kept until a quantum computer can unlock them. Experts estimate a 28–49% chance of one able to break today's encryption within ten years.

QVU protects messages and files with today's proven encryption plus NIST's new standards built to withstand quantum computers.

Three steps. Your email stays yours.

01

Install QVU

Set up QVU on Windows or Mac in about ten minutes. No new email address and no phone number.

02

Connect with the people you trust

You and each person you connect with confirm who the other is once using a short code.

03

Write and store as you do now

Send from your existing email account. Files go in your vault, each with its own lock.

A Pair covers you and one other person. Add more people at any time.

Two things we can’t do for you.

We can’t reset your password.

We never hold your keys, so you get a recovery phrase instead. Lose your laptop, and your phrase and backup bring everything back on a new one. Lose your phrase and your devices, and nobody can get you back in. Not even us.

We can’t deliver to just anyone.

Protected messages only go to people you’ve connected with in QVU, so a mistyped or fake address can never receive them. If someone isn’t on QVU yet, they’re invited to join and connect with you.

Private by design. Plain by choice.

Can QuantumViva read my messages?

No. Messages are sealed on your device before they’re sent, and only the people you’ve connected with in QVU can open them. Our servers only ever pass on sealed data.

What could you hand over if someone asked?

Only what we hold: the basics needed to run your account. Your keys, messages and files never reach us, so they can’t be handed over.

Do I need a new email address?

No. QVU works on top of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or any email provider.

Do the people I write to need QVU?

Yes. QVU only delivers to people you’ve connected with. A Pair covers you and one other person. Anyone you write to who isn’t on QVU yet is invited to join and connect with you.

Do I need to give a phone number?

No. QVU doesn’t ask for one.

What if I lose my laptop?

Your files stay locked on it. Restore your vault on a new computer from your recovery phrase and backup.

Does it work on a Mac?

Yes. QVU runs on Windows and macOS.

When can I get it?

QVU is in build. Join the waitlist for priority access.

What do I get for joining?
